Gospel of Life Committee

MISSION: Pope John Paul II’s encyclical titled Evangelium Vitae (Gospel of Life) calls us to respect, protect, love, and serve life-every human life.

In answer to that call, a Gospel of Life group was recently formed at Christ the Redeemer. Our mission is to promote the sanctity of all life, from womb to tomb. Our focus embraces many vital concerns of the day - marriage and family life, chastity, natural family planning, domestic violence, abortion, post-abortion reconciliation and healing, euthanasia, capital punishment and more.

We are working to create awareness of these issues, while providing life-giving resources to support the Gospel of Life within our church community. So far, our efforts have included selling Christmas cards to support the work of Right to Life/Lifespan, participating in Life Chain on Respect Life Sunday, providing current resources on various life issues, and attending the Gospel of Life Conference hosted by the Archdiocese of Detroit.
