Love in the Name of Christ
About Us….
Love in the Name of Christ (Love
INC) is a non-profit cooperative effort that links
churches, volunteers, and service agencies...and helps
them organize their efforts by reaching out to the poor
and disadvantaged.
Love INC serves as a needs
"clearinghouse" where people in need contact us
and we will connect them with local churches and agencies
to provide them with assistance.
When we work together and pool
resources we can be more effective in our efforts, and
the results can be miraculous.
Love INC’s Three
Major Ministries…
- Clothing Closet. Lake Orion
United Methodist and St. Joes run the clothing
closet. They offer gently used clothing for all
ages
 Bed, Blessings and Beyond. This
household ministry is run by St. Joes Catholic
Church. They offer linens, dishes, pots and pans,
as well as small kitchen appliances.
- Furniture Ministry is run
by Christ the Redeemer Church. They offer gently
used essential furniture.
Christ the Redeemer’s Furniture Ministry
Christ the Redeemer’s
furniture inventory is based solely on donations. See the
following guidelines for donations:
Items Accepted:
• Baby
furniture; bassinets, changing tables, cribs
(must have 2/38 " between slats), and
dressers
• Gently used sheets, blankets, comforters,
mattress pads, and new pillows.
• Dining tables, chairs and table linens.
• Dressers/chest of drawers
• End tables.
• Futon/Futon beds
• Mattresses, box springs, and basic
headboards, frames.
• Nightstands
• Small bookcases (36" or smaller)
• Sofa/Sofa beds.
• Bunk beds.
• Tabletop microwave ovens.
• Appliances-accepted only if they are in
good working order, preferable less than 10 years
old and can be
transported to Ehman Center.
NOTE: When donating items that come in pieces or
require parts for assembly, please provide
labeled Ziploc bags for the parts or tape labeled
parts to the item donated.

• Bicycles
• Built in appliances
• China cabinets, hutches, corner cabinets
• Computers
• Desks and office chairs
• File cabinets
• Freezers
• Large bookcases
• Miscellaneous baby items; swings,
strollers, bath tubs and toy.
• Television sets
• Recreation tables; ping-pong, pool tables
• Stereo Equipment. |
Donation
Procedures and Dates
- Please help us
maintain the dignity of the poor and only
donate items which you would use. Please
do not donate items if they are damaged
or significantly worn. Items should be
clean and free of large stains. Disposing
of unusable furniture is both costly and
time consuming for our ministry.

DELIVER ITEMS
to the Ehman Center on the dates listed
below, please call our furniture
coordinator, Pat McClerren,

Love INC office at 248-693-4357.
- IF FURNITURE
PICK-UP IS NEEDED, call the Furniture Bank
of Oakland County, 248-332- 1300. They
will schedule a pick up day.
