Stewardship: Living a Life of Gratitude! Do we really
believe God will do what is best for us . . . or
do we just say we believe it? It is a constant
struggle to surrender all ownership to God daily,
isn’t it? How many of us release our fears
and give our problems to God, only to return to
it twenty minutes later and pick up all those
things we had left behind and drag them around
with us all day? This age we live in is so fast
paced, we do things at such speed, we may not
have thought it through. This can lead to more
worries and more problems. The answer is to rest
in the Lord, and wait patiently for him . . .
Psalm 37:7. The trick is the waiting patiently
part!
It is a
daily choice of attitude. A trusting cheerful
attitude will keep you going for you know that
God will work all things together for good. The
converse would have to be gloomy – not
believing that God is working behind the scenes,
how crippling this would be towards progress. The
attitude is also that EVERYTHING we have comes
from God. Our jobs, our homes, our kids, our
spouses, even the dog! When we can trust God with
all things, we can be freed to go and do great
things and those heavy burdens can be lifted. How
wonderful it would be!
